Nelson Cancer Society 2018 Heritage Homes Tour

Life has a funny way of coming full circle. In July last year, my family and I made the decision to move Nelson to be closer to my Mum, who was being treated for late stage three ovarian cancer. 

There really wasn't any thought involved - the conversation went like this: "I think we should move to Nelson." "I do too". That afternoon our Wellington home was on the market.

As I was driving past this beauty one weekend when we were down visiting, I noticed a moving truck outside. I made James pull over and I knocked on the door... "Are you coming or going?" I asked. They were going.  Four weeks later, thanks to the amazing realtor Nikki Ryan, we moved in and began the process of making it our own. 

So when I was asked if I would like to be part of the Cancer Society/Nelson City Council's Heritage Home tour, I jumped. What a cool initiative to raise money for this cause, that has become very close to our family and in a funny way was the reason we are in this house!
